The night shift took over at midnight and the sandy seabed continues. We have been taking Hamon Grabs at each of the sandy stations in the north-west corner of the site and also running a camera sledge at a few of the stations to help with the seabed characterisation.
Half a purple heart urchin came up alongside all of the shells in one of the samples. There is more information on the MCZ feature subtidal sand on the JNCC website.
