The second part of the day shift was
spent collecting grab samples from the seabed. JNCC staff members
Beth and Jenny helped to process the grab samples which were brought
back to the deck. The processing involves using sieves to remove the fine
sediment whilst retaining the marine life and coarse sediments for
further analysis back on land.
